April is such a wonderful month. It is filled to the brim with family birthdays. One of those birthdays belong to my dear husband. I marvel at this man. He has perfect health, works hard from early morning to night, never complains and just smiles and laughs. He will be turning 70 and he is going to get a wonderful birthday party! Many more of the family will have birthdays this month too.
I love April because of General Conference. A person cannot help but being touched, enlightened and determined to be a better person. In viewing conference I felt the spirit reside around me in my home....there was instant peace, serenity filled my soul.
In the month of April I think about the spiritual moments that took place with the organization of the church again upon the earth. We have many blessings in our lives because of that day....April 6th.
April brings flowers and beauty back to the earth after a long winter's nap. It reminds me of he resurrection of the Savior. There is what we call death and then there is a newness that comes. To me there is a miracle in a flower bulb. The old looking, kinda of scarred up bulb is put into the ground. It certainly does not look like much. But inside that bulb is a breath-taking beauty that comes forth in the spring. Later it returns to being a bulb again, takes a rest and then is brought forth the next spring in all its glory. Amazing!!!!!
Isn't the month of April truly special? Isn't life truly good? It is!!!!!
Mimi's Thought for the Day: If you do not have any bulb flowers, get some this fall and as you plant them in the fall, teach your little ones about them. It will be a lesson they will never forget. It is like a burial and then a resurrection ...very glorious and touches the heart.
