One of these days I am going to post pictures....as soon as I learn how. But here I sit looking out my south window and seeing our huge maple tree blowing in the wind and the tiny leaves are holding on tight. The Japanese tree is in bloom, the Dogwood tree next to it has orange flowers this year and there are a few yellow tulips that are struggling to hold on to their yellow petals.
On another day I can see calmness and the maple tree, the dogwood tree and the Japanese tree along with the tulips are just basking in the sun and growing, becoming stronger and enjoying their time of life. I love all of nature as it is a "teacher" if we will just stop, look and listen.
I can and do so very easily relate to nature. I have bloomed, been planted, doing my best to live my earthly life in peace and joy. But then comes along the "storms" that tear at my heart, that have me duck for cover, that make me also struggle and hold on.
Then comes the calm...the healing...the growth...the change. I stand a little taller, a little wiser and become stronger. When the next "storm" hits I take into account the things I have learned on my path of life and I use my experiences to "weather" what comes my way.
If we will look again at nature we can see lessons of all kinds that God wants us to learn. He is after all the creator of this earth and all things on it.
May your days be full of praise for a Father in Heaven who gave us this beautiful home and an opportunity to learn from it.
